The owner practises medicine in Spain and is subject to the profession's code of conduct and to mandatory registration with a medical council.

What this site is, and what it is not

This site sets out the clinical, teaching and research work of its owner, and publishes information about the diseases he works on. Its purpose is to inform, not to treat.

It is not an institutional website. References to Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Universidad Complutense de Madrid or any scientific society describe the owner's professional affiliations; they do not imply that those institutions edit, review or endorse this site.

The information here does not replace a medical consultation

The clinical content on this site is written and reviewed by its author, and each page states when it was last reviewed and the sources of the figures it contains. Even so, it describes diseases and treatments in general, not any individual's case.

No decision about your health should be made on the basis of this site. If you have symptoms or questions about your treatment, speak to your doctor. In an emergency, go to an emergency department or call 112 (in Spain).

The OncoGuía assistant is a guidance tool built on language models. It is not a doctor, it does not issue diagnoses or second opinions, and it can be wrong.

The text, images and downloadable material on this site are the work of its author, except where another source is stated, and are protected by intellectual property law.

You may quote and link to the content freely, citing the source and linking to the original. Full reproduction, translation or commercial use requires prior written permission.

The downloadable guides and ebooks are offered for the personal use of patients, families and professionals. You may share them unmodified and for non-commercial purposes.

This site links to scientific journals, trial registries, societies and other external resources. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and the owner of this site is not responsible for their content.

Liability and availability

Care is taken to keep the information accurate and current, and the clinical pages state when they were last reviewed. Even so, medicine moves: a figure that is right today may not stay right, and the owner does not warrant that all content is permanently up to date.

Nor is uninterrupted availability or freedom from technical error guaranteed.

Governing law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will fall to the courts having jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
