Dr. Pablo Lozano Lominchar is a surgical oncologist at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in Madrid, Spain, and Associate Professor of Surgery at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His clinical and academic career has been shaped by a commitment to advancing the treatment of complex abdominal malignancies.
After completing his medical degree and surgical residency at Gregorio Marañón, Dr. Lozano undertook a highly competitive fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York, one of the world's leading cancer centres. This experience deepened his expertise in cytoreductive surgery, HIPEC, and the management of retroperitoneal sarcomas.
Today, Dr. Lozano leads a programme dedicated to peritoneal surface malignancies and retroperitoneal sarcoma, with 15 years of experience in peritoneal carcinomatosis. His research focuses on improving outcomes in these rare and complex diseases, with over 50 peer-reviewed publications contributing to the global body of evidence.
Beyond the operating room, he is passionate about surgical education, mentoring the next generation of oncologic surgeons and developing educational programmes that reach trainees worldwide.
